With a New Movie Trailer, 'Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen' Creates Even More Excitement for Fans

Transformers 2 just released its first full length trailer to the internet and theaters, and it is creating a lot of buzz for the movie. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is the follow-up to the Transformers movie from 2007 that re-introduced the changeable robots to a new generation

of fans. With a lot of action, and a film that was very well suited to sell more toys, Transformers brought in a ton of money, and proved to be quite a success for Michael Bay and Executive Producer Steven Spielberg. Now Part 2 is about to take theaters by storm this summer.

The Super Bowl was the first real glimpse of the new film, where the creators gave a 30-second look into many of the action sequences that will take place in the film. It also revealed quite a few new Transformers that will make their way into the new movie, and probably re-write a lot of the ways that the characters were looked upon back in the cartoon. It looks to be a much more violent film than the first one, and it also seems that they are going for an almost "scary" element rather than a slap-stick version of violent robot fighting. This could entice a new group of film-goers, but at the same time may scare a few away as well.

The newest trailer for Transformers 2 is a 2 minute 17 second look at the film, which doesn't exactly present a whole lot of new material that will blow away fans, but pieces together the quick snippets that had been used for the 30-second Super Bowl advertisement. It gives a few more looks at new bad-guys (Decepticons), but very few insights into what this movie is actually about, or where they plan on taking the storylines. Transformers 2 Reshoots As It Prepares For First Glimpse

Are Michael Bay's robots still rolling out across America? Reports are suggesting that Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen is undergoing reshoots even as its first teaser trailer is about to hit screens. Is the movie in trouble, or is there more than meets the eye?

The Transformers Live Action Movie Blog noted a report in the Antelope Valley Press that a crew for the movie were shooting as recently as the end of November in Edwards Air Force Base, despite Michael Bay's early November announcement that shooting had wrapped (although that announcement seemed to be contradicted within a week). They're not worried about the need for reshoots, however:

If a reshoot occurred, chances are its second unit work that didn't involve Bay or the principle cast and is simply being used to fill out shots that the editing process determined was needed.

I'm now imagining some poor extras running away from nothing, while a second unit director looks at his notes from Bay and yells "Now he's swiping at you! To your left! Scream!"

Meanwhile, speculation is growing about whether next week's release of The Day The Earth Stood Still will be accompanied by the first teaser trailer for the movie:

Considering that the trailer for Wolverine is debuting with TDTESS, it seems that there is an expectation that the movie will have a demographic that TF2 advertising would be aiming for. It’s also the last big budget popcorn movie of the year so last chance to get the most eyeballs aware that the sequel is coming before year end. After that, it seems to me that the next opportunity will not be until Watchmen in March.

If the trailer debuts with Keanu's next movie, expect it to be online Friday morning, even if it's only in shaky cam-phone version...

Pay homage to the ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ actor at the recently opened Jimmy Stewart Museum in Indiana. Today, modern acting icons including Will Smith, Kevin Bacon, Jeff Goldblum and Richard Gere all call Pennsylvania their first home!

Film fanatics can enjoy three hours of movie tour magic! Created by the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, the tour takes visitors behind the scenes of today’s favourite motion films including National Treasure, 12 Monkeys and In Her Shoes. Whilst on board the luxury tour bus, fans can watch movie clips at each film’s location as they receive the inside scoop on the stars and films. Roberto Orci described the film's theme as the robots confronting "being away from home", with the focus between the robots and humans "much more evenly balanced". The tone will be similar to the first film, but "the stakes will be higher" (with a more global sensibility), and there will be more focus on the science fiction elements. Orci also said "we'll be better at modulating [the humor] this time". Structurally, the plot will be "more organically interconnected in that TF1 had the structure of three story lines coming together at Hoover. TF2 will have a different structure."
