Roberto Orci described the film's theme as the robots confronting "being away from home", with the focus between the robots and humans "much more evenly balanced". The tone will be similar to the first film, but "the stakes will be higher" (with a more global sensibility), and there will be more focus on the science fiction elements. Orci also said "we'll be better at modulating [the humor] this time". Structurally, the plot will be "more organically interconnected in that TF1 had the structure of three story lines coming together at Hoover. TF2 will have a different structure."

Transformers 2 Movie Autobots Cast and Characters

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies

  • Peter Cullen voices Autobot leader Optimus Prime. He retains his alternate mode of a blue Peterbilt truck with red flame decals. Cullen recorded a voiceover for the opening scene in August 2008, but will begin the majority of voice work in November.[63][64] A live action cameo has been written for Cullen.
  • Arcee, an Autobot motorcycle with a feminine personality and appearance. Arcee was dropped from the first film as the writers felt there was not enough time to explain her "gender". Orci stated the issue could just be ignored in the film. Arcee has been redesigned from the concept art used for her toy and comic book appearances.
  • "The Twins". According to leaked daily call sheets Michael Bay claimed he faked, they begin the film by combining into an ice cream van and later accompany Bumblebee to find Jetfire at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center. By that point they have reformatted into a Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Trax. The Beat's license plate reads "Skids", possibly indicating its final name, while the other Twin's name will be determined in post-production, as the dialogue can be re-recorded with the animation.
  • Jetfire, an Autobot SR-71 Blackbird. According to the call sheets, Jetfire starts out as a Decepticon, mirroring his character arc in the cartoon and comics.

Transformers 2 Movie Revenge Of The Fallen

Watch TV on PC - 12,000 TV Channels and Movies

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is an upcoming science fiction film due for release on June 26, 2009. It is the sequel to 2007's Transformers, which was the first live action Transformers film. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg return respectively as director and executive producer, while Shia LaBeouf reprises the role of Sam Witwicky, the human caught in the war between Autobots and Decepticons. The film introduces many more robots and the scope has been expanded to numerous countries.

The main hurdle in getting the film produced was overcoming the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike, as well as possible strikes by the Directors Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild. Bay met his shooting date with the help of previsualization and a scriptment by his writers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and series newcomer Ehren Kruger. Shooting from May to October 2008 predominantly took place in the United States, including the majority of scenes set in outside countries, a minimum of which was conducted in those actual nations.

New "Revenge of the Fallen" Movie Logo Revealed?

A new image of what appears to be a re-worked logo for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has surfaced. Sources say the image was from a presentation of Hasbro's 2009 feature films by Hasbro CEO Brain Goldner to securities analysts. The slide also features a screenshot from the 2007 Transformers Movie videogame, as well as a look at Hasbro's other big 2009 film: GI JOE: Rise of Cobra.

The logo features the classic Transformers font (in keeping with the font from the first film) as well as the Decepticon logo in the background - both of which are glowing red.

You can see the image below the mirrored report:

During a presentation to securities analysts today, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner showed a promo image including the feature films of "G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra" and "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." The "Transformers" part of the image shows what may be the new logo for the "Transformers Revenge of the Fallen" film that will be out June 2009.

The new logo released by Hasbro shows a more traditional look that is similar in design of the Generation 1 logo, which was broken into 2 parts with the word "TRANS" stacked on top of "FORMERS." The Autobot symbol from the Generation 1 logo has been replaced by a large, metallic Decepticon logo with glowing red-eyes.

The images support some elements revealed for the sequel already. If the movie goes in the direction we're lead to believe, where the Decepticons return to Earth, then this image could be indicative of the mood of the 2nd installment.

As with most things, take this with a grain of salt. This could be something only Hasbro is using or just a preliminary design we may never see again. You may view the new logo below and judge for yourself.
